Maurice graduated from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (G.M.I.T.), Cluain Mhuire, in 2010 with a degree in Art and Design.
He had a successful solo exhibition “A Million Miles Away” in The Town Hall Theatre, Galway in May 2012.

Maurice does not use computer images, photographs or any mechanisation; instead he sketches scenes from real life and this gives him an original image. He firmly believes that ‘It is better to fail in originality that to succeed in imitation’. It is because of this that he mainly paints from sketches and his imagination.
